About Faith, Hope and Charity

Faith, Hope, and Charity (FHC) is a 501(c)(3) faith-based non-profit organization.  Since 1992 have been dedicated to serve local youth, families and elderly.

Our main mission is to reach the children before they fall into the hands of law enforcement.

FHC’s vision is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our children, to keep them off the street, out of juvenile detention, and to help them become productive citizens.

FHC provides activities that involve homework assistance, tutoring, and individualized instruction, depending on student needs, and outdoor play that involves active and physical activities. We also provide a snack, meal and drinks daily.

This calendar year we are focusing on kindergarters to 4th graders.

Other youth services that FHC provides concentrate on building characters through individual and group sessions,   Our program is based on the S.A.Y. YES! (Save America’s Youth – Yes!) program. Our goal is to help provide a better lifestyle for a better community and a brighter future for our youth and their families.

FHC serves as a resource center for needy citizens of Marlin. FHC is part of an ongoing effort to help citizens of Marlin become healthy and to help improve the quality of their lives. Many children in the our community do not get well-balanced, nutritious meals. This seriously affects their ability to learn and grow. Many of the elderly and disabled citizens of Marlin do not have access to food and good nutrition. This can exacerbate both long-term and short-term health problems and make it difficult to recover from minor ailments. FHC provides food baskets during holidays to impoverish students and their families.

Annually, FHC sponsors “Family Play Day” , “Light on Afterschool”, “Coats and Clothing Giveaway” and “Thanksgiving Dinner for Elderly and Shut-In”.

Free services and participation includes WIC, the Falls County County Extension, Praire View A&M University, Texas A&M Grilife Extension, Family & Community Health and volunteers for sewing, music, reading, library, gardening, and birthday cakes for all the children. 

All our services are free. The program operates entirely from volunteers, monetary and in kind contributions.
